Podocarpus elatus (Illawarra plum) is a medium to large subtropical rainforest conifer, native to the east coast of Australia.

Illawarra plum produces masses of  dark blue fruit with a sweetish - pine flavour when ripe.

It is often used as a ornamental street tree in Sydney because of their attractive, shiny and narrow leaves and general hardiness, especially in coastal regions. 

This is a dioecious plant, meaning you need both male / female plants to produce fruit.
